Over 4,000 eighth and tenth-grade students will come out to visit the Jackson Area Career Center Feb. 3-7 to celebrate the start of Career Technical Education (CTE) month and to learn more about the programs of study available at the Career Center. The month will close out with the Career Center’s annual Open House on Feb. 27.
February has been proclaimed “CTE month” by Governor Rick Snyder and the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE). This year’s ACTE theme is Celebrate CTE Superheroes, which is encouraging students to explore and learn more about the accomplishments, achievements, and contributions of CTE professionals and students.
