Bushy Tail Challenge Squirrel Hunt Open to Public
In its second year, the Grass Lake Sportsman’s Club is hosting their Bushy Tail Challenge squirrel hunt on Saturday, January 25. The event is open to the public and hunters of all ages are welcome. Youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied in the hunt by an adult. Teams consist of two hunters.
Official rules, in compliance with State of Michigan regulations, are posted on the GLSC Facebook Bushy Tail event page or you can contact coordinators to have them emailed. There will be no hunting allowed on club property for this event, but there is an abundance of state land in the area. The top 10 teams will receive prizes.
Team registration is $20 per team with an optional heaviest squirrel buy in for an additional $3 per hunter. One representative from each team must register at the GLSC club house event morning – no early registration offered, but emailing or calling to confirm your participation would help coordinators prepare. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with a short team meeting following. Weigh in is open from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the club. After-the-hunt lunch will be available for a small fee.
Whether you’re an experienced shooter or new to the sport, come join the Grass Lake Sportsman’s Club for the 2nd annual Bushy Tail Challenge and see what the club is all about. They are located at 13505 Leach Road in Grass Lake.
